MANAGEMENT OF ADENOCARCINOMA OF THE LUNG: THE GROUND GLASS NODULE & MULTIFOCAL DISEASE
Overview & Target Audience:
This course will focus on educating physicians involved in caring for lung cancer patients with brief literature reviews of diagnosis and treatment options, including surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, with summative case presentations and discussions by a multidisciplinary panel.
The target audience is physicians and other healthcare professionals caring for patients with lung cancer, including medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pulmonologists, thoracic surgeons, thoracic radiologists.
Objectives:
At the completion of this course, participants should be able to:
• Identify the patterns of presentation of lung adenocarcinoma and options for diagnosis
• Describe the role of surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy in the primary treatment of lung adenocarcinoma
• Review multidisciplinary treatment and combination therapy in multifocal patterns of disease
